Finn McBjarton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drumreilly. Ferdia Dempsey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berrach Palmer in the 13th minute. Drumreilly's Bannon Todd quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bret McDonald, made in the 16th minute of the game. If Breanainn Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Drumreilly's Breanainn Crowe got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, one of Drumreilly:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Drumreilly. When the match had been going on for 36 minutes, Cooraclare's Donan Robinson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ferdia Dempsey. After a long run with the ball, Glenn Palmer did a trick in the 41st minute in front of Cooraclare's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-1. An impressive performance by Drumreilly's Glenn Palmer! The audience was convinced that Breanainn Crowe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Finn McBjarton was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Berrach Palmer sped through Drumreilly's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ferdia Dempsey. A hard shot 74 in the game by Breanainn Crowe from a close distance when the talented Finn McBjarton managed to make a qualified save. Cooraclare's players were relieved. Ferdia Dempsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Troy Caffrey in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Cooraclare getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Troy Caffrey hit a great ball. Breanainn Crowes short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Finn McBjarton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 81 minutes into the match, Cooraclare's Berrach Palmer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferdia Dempsey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Drumreilly booed when Cooraclare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berrach Palmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute of the game Bret McDonald made a throw-in which Troy Caffrey played forward. After 88 played minutes Drumreilly got a freekick which was hit by Bannon Todd. Hugh McGlenn kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cooraclare's Abbot Hamilton got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Bret McDonald kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Drumreilly players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
