Gill Savic kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Bradon Branson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 played minutes Carrowduff got a freekick which was hit by Rooney McWill. In the 29th minute, Brayden Dimson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Bradon Branson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordan Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gordan Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradon Branson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Blaithmeic McPeter's late challenge caught a Killanly's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blaithmeic McPeter helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Carrowduff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blaithmeic McPeter to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bradon Branson was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balor McWillie in the 57th minute of play forced Carrowduff's goalkeeper Tomás Ramsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ennis Scully hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Trien Barrett's late challenge caught a Killanly's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trien Barrett helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Killanly booed when Carrowduff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trien Barrett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Ramsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balor McWillie, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Carrowduff's goal looked a bit too open when Balor McWillie came free, but Tomás Ramsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 minutes of play, Killanly's Balor McWillie made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomás Ramsey was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute, Egan Callaghan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gordan Coyle was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Killanly's Balor McWillie in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carrowduff's goalie prevented a goal.
