Bivitas McIan's late challenge caught a Ballylangley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bivitas McIan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Carrigdangan's Bivitas McIan got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Ros McLian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Bivitas McIan put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Breffni Benson. After some careless play in the Ballylangley defense, Ros McLian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Breffni Benson. The Ballylangley fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Breffni Benson should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Ballylangley getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Reilly Cronin hit a great ball. Ros McLian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Breffni Benson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Ros McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Carrigdangan had won after a very even match.
