Spectators: 7721 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 2121, VIP seats: 100) Corbaly's Balor Glen Crowe started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Balor Glen Crowe in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Colmcille Frankson saved Portleen FC from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, Portleen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedict Matthews came free, but Colmcille Frankson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bresal Dempsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pearse Beckett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brennon McIan in the 13th minute of play forced Corbaly's goalkeeper Bresal Dempsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes of play, Portleen FC's Brennon McIan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bresal Dempsey was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Portleen FC's Rorry McGlynn got a free kick in the 24th minute. Balor Glen Crowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colmcille Frankson having to interfere. Balor Glen Crowe hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Corbaly's Bresal Dempsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brennon McIan in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Balor Glen Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colmcille Frankson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedict Matthews charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedict Matthews the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Portleen FC booed when Corbaly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedict Matthews didn't get a good kick on the ball. Balor Glen Crowe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Corbaly's Bresal Dempsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conor Ramsey in the 42nd minute of play. Bresal Dempsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rorry McGlynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Brennon McIan made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Corbaly's goal looked a bit too open when Pearse Beckett came free, but Bresal Dempsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bevin Todd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Bresal Dempsey made a huge save. Conor Ramsey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Bresal Dempsey made a huge save. When Brennon McIan fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portleen FC's protests and gave Brennon McIan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Portleen FC's Brennon McIan got a free kick in the 58th minute. Bresal Dempsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brennon McIan in the 61st minute of the match. Bresal Dempsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Coileán McLiam, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rorry McGlynn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bresal Dempsey. That made the score 0-2 in the 69 minute of play. Bresal Dempsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Coileán McLiam in the 74th minute of the match. Brennon McIan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Bresal Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pearse Beckett kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes, Corbaly's Boland Cassin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Colmcille Frankson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Corbaly reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keely Scully in the 82nd minute of play forced Portleen FC's goalkeeper Colmcille Frankson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colmcille Frankson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balor Glen Crowe in the 86th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Portleen FC got a freekick which was hit by Coileán McLiam. Colmcille Frankson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balor Glen Crowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Bevin Todd's late challenge caught a Corbaly's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bevin Todd helped the player get up and apologised. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Portleen FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
