In the 41st minute, Radomil Grondzki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. WEDKARZE's Seoirse Johnson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Donagh Callaghan, made in the 46th minute of the game. With 47 minutes on the clock, Gearóid Keegan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 47th minute, one of Rinneen FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rinneen FC. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-2 at half-time.
