Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Reidy McPeter got the match started through his kick off. Rinneen FC's Cormac Deans pulled a muscle in his back after 11 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Rinneen FC's Binean McPhil was substituted for Cormac Deans. The supporters of Rinneen FC booed when Shanmullagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balor Doyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pearse McAlphie in the 14th minute of play forced Shanmullagh's goalkeeper Banban Deans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Beothach McBrand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reidy McPeter took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Banban Deans. Banban Deans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 23rd match minute, Shanmullagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bercnan Jameson to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the game, Balor Doyle threw the ball into play from the sideline. Rinneen FC's Binean McPhil quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Banban Deans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reidy McPeter, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Shanmullagh's goal looked a bit too open when Reidy McPeter came free, but Banban Deans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Balor Doyle made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Baiste Doyle however managed to control. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baiste Doyle made a kick off. Gilbert Brennan made in the 52nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Pearse McAlphie however managed to control. Reidy McPeter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Banban Deans came out and tried to block the shot, but Reidy McPeter slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 55th minute. Rinneen FC's Reidy McPeter got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the game, Reidy McPeter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Banban Deans. Reidy McPeter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Banban Deans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reidy McPeter in the 65th minute of play. Balor Doyle got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Balor Doyle kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to Shanmullagh getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Blathmac McStephen hit a great ball. Banban Deans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pearse McAlphie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baiste Doyle made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Rinneen FC's Logan Jameson. Banban Deans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reidy McPeter, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
