The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bradaigh Beckett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colmcille Frankson having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Luska Utd:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Portleen FC:s goal. Beary Barrett shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After some careless play in the Luska Utd defense, Pearse Beckett kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Braydon McFrank. The Luska Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Braydon McFrank should have stopped the shot. Braydon McFrank was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Brennon McIan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Brennon McIan really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Braydon McFrank was a little too slow when Conor Ramsey got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 3-0. 36 minutes into the game, Pearse Beckett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Braydon McFrank was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Braydon McFrank made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Pearse Beckett sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Luska Utd's Braydon McFrank got control of the ball when Pearse Beckett tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bradaigh Beckett's late challenge caught a Portleen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bradaigh Beckett helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Portleen FC booed when Luska Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradaigh Beckett didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

In the 53rd minute, Conor Ramsey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Braydon McFrank was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Braydon McFrank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brennon McIan in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62ndth minute Bearnard Frankson easily got through Portleen FC's defense and fired away a shot, but Colmcille Frankson leaped left and performed a fabulous save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brennon McIan in the 68th minute of play forced Luska Utd's goalkeeper Braydon McFrank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 minutes of play, Portleen FC's Brennon McIan made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Braydon McFrank was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute Brennon McIan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braydon McFrank saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Luska Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Brennon McIan came free, but Braydon McFrank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute Conor Ramsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braydon McFrank saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Portleen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brennon McIan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coileán McLiam in the 88th minute of play forced Luska Utd's goalkeeper Braydon McFrank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th match minute, Luska Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beamard McNamee to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Portleen FC fully deserved thier win.
