Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Batt Grant got the match started through his kick off. Clortrane's Blaine McCready played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batt Grant in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Clortrane's Coileán McIan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 8th minute, Donell Frankson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Batt Grant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Blaine McCready made a huge save. Donell Frankson hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Glanoe's Eoghan McWilliam shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Blaine McCready but with some difficulty. Blaine McCready made an important save on a dangerous shot by Batt Grant in the 12th minute. A collision led to Clortrane getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Coileán McIan hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Glanoe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eoghan McWilliam to maneuver through the defense. Rylee Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donell Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Rylee Hughes came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Clortrane's Coileán McIan. But to his dismay, Coileán McIan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Blaine McCready made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Batt Grant in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Clortrane's Earnán Glen Crowe got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 34 minutes, Justin Murphy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clortrane and the Glanoe players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Glanoe booed when Clortrane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Murphy didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Bracken McWill in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Glanoe's Bradley McJohnny. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Coileán McIan hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Bressal McGlenn's late challenge caught a Clortrane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bressal McGlenn helped the player get up and apologised. 66 minutes into the game, Earnán Glen Crowe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rylee Hughes. Earnán Glen Crowe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. With a little luck, Glanoe's Rylee Hughes got control of the ball when Earnán Glen Crowe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Coileán McIan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rylee Hughes came out and tried to block the shot, but Coileán McIan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 72nd minute. Bressal McGlenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaine McCready having to interfere. During the 84th minute of the match Bressal McGlenn completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bressal McGlenn a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Clortrane booed when Glanoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bressal McGlenn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Batt Grant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glanoe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Batt Grant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Eoghan McWilliam came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Glanoe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eoghan McWilliam couldn't finish the play. Clortrane's Blaine McCready played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batt Grant in the 95th minute of play. After 95 played minutes Clortrane got a freekick which was hit by Gealan Holt. The Clortrane supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Clortrane would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
