An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Azteca in the 4th minute of play forced Clortrane's goalkeeper Blaine McCready to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Fernandinho Azteca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Blaine McCready was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 16th minute Fernandinho Azteca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaine McCready saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Rathclogh booed when Clortrane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keeghan McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rathclogh's Justin Byrne couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Clortrane. Blaine McCready took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theobald Myler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernandinho Azteca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaine McCready having to interfere. Blaine McCready showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theobald Myler, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Clortrane's Donell Frankson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boyce Quinnless narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Clortrane booed when Rathclogh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bowen Coyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rathclogh's Fernandinho Azteca got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Rathclogh's goalkeeper Boyce Quinnless had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Earnán Glen Crowe. Boyce Quinnless was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Donell Frankson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Donell Frankson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Boyce Quinnless showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donell Frankson in the 46th minute of the match.
The wind increased when Bowen Coyle made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Rathclogh's Theobald Myler made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Blaine McCready was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bowen Coyle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Blaine McCready made a huge save. In the 60th minute, Theobald Myler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Blaine McCready was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donell Frankson in the 64th minute of play forced Rathclogh's goalkeeper Boyce Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Justin Byrne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blaine McCready made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Theobald Myler sent off a good shot on target. Donell Frankson took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boyce Quinnless. Boyce Quinnless dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Theobald Myler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Blaine McCready. That made the score 2-4 in the 81 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rathclogh's Fernandinho Azteca got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
