Farrell McAaron came out and tried to block the shot, but Bressal McGlenn slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batt Grant in the 20th minute of play forced Ballinrolla AFC's goalkeeper Farrell McAaron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breffni McNamara kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Eoghan McWilliam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Farrell McAaron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Batt Grant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Farrell McAaron made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Ballinrolla AFC's Patrick McNamara got a free kick in the 26th minute. Glanoe's Riddoc Rogers shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Farrell McAaron but with some difficulty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrick McNamara during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bressal McGlenn in the 32nd minute of play forced Ballinrolla AFC's goalkeeper Farrell McAaron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ballinrolla AFC's Darragh Beckett got a free kick in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brogan McBrandon during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes Ballinrolla AFC got a freekick which was hit by Brogan McBrandon. A hard shot by Bradley McJohnny from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Farrell McAaron's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a little luck, Ballinrolla AFC's Farrell McAaron got control of the ball when Batt Grant tried to sneak it across the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Ballinrolla AFC's goalkeeper Farrell McAaron had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Batt Grant. Ballinrolla AFC's Farrell McAaron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Ballinrolla AFC from getting a goal against them. Farrell McAaron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bressal McGlenn in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Brennon Molloy made the kick off in the second half. Brennon Molloy hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, Ballinrolla AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bressal McGlenn came free, but Farrell McAaron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bragan Morrison during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ballinrolla AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Bragan Morrison hit a great ball. Farrell McAaron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batt Grant, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Glanoe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballinrolla AFC the free kick. In the 65th minute, Conleth Sheridan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ballinrolla AFC booed when Glanoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradley McJohnny didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ballinrolla AFC's Brennon Molloy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rylee Hughes. That made the score 3-1 after 69 minutes of play. After 78 minutes of play, Glanoe's Batt Grant made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Farrell McAaron was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the game, Batt Grant cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Farrell McAaron was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Farrell McAaron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batt Grant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Batt Grant ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Farrell McAaron was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Farrell McAaron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Batt Grant in the 92nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ballinrolla AFC defense, Bressal McGlenn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Farrell McAaron. The Ballinrolla AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Farrell McAaron should have stopped the shot. Glanoe walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
