The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Glen McPeter during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ballyroan FC booed when Ballinrolla AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen McPeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brennon Molloy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Booak Myler kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Farrell McAaron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keelin McPaul in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Keelin McPaul reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Farrell McAaron. The goal made the score 1-0. Farrell McAaron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boyce Ferguson in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute of the game Glen McPeter made a throw-in which Patrick McNamara played forward. 33 minutes into the game, Ballyroan FC's Boyce Ferguson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Farrell McAaron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Keelin McPaul struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Farrell McAaron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballyroan FC. In the 39th minute, Boyce Ferguson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Farrell McAaron was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Ballyroan FC's Keelin McPaul got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Glen McPeter with Patrick McNamara as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brennon Molloy made a kick off. A collision led to Ballinrolla AFC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Glen McPeter hit a great ball. The supporters of Ballinrolla AFC booed when Ballyroan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keelin McPaul didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boudibiua McJohnny made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Brennon Molloy sent off a good shot on target. Branson Hutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boudibiua McJohnny having to interfere. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Glen McPeter with Patrick McNamara as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 80thth minute of the game Brennon Molloy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballyroan FC's Boudibiua McJohnny was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Ballyroan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brennon Molloy came free, but Boudibiua McJohnny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boyce Ferguson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Farrell McAaron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Farrell McAaron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyce Ferguson in the 94th minute of the match. When Brennon Molloy came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Ballinrolla AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brennon Molloy couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ballyroan FC had played much better football throughout.
