Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gealan Holt hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ballintemple getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Farrell Mullan hit a great ball. The long shot by Coileán McIan in the 15th minute really tested Tate McLiam's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 19 played minutes Ballintemple got a freekick which was hit by Brandon Deery. The supporters of Ballintemple booed when Clortrane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Coileán McIan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bow McPeter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaine McCready having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Ballintemple got a freekick which was hit by Brickeen McPaul. Earnán Glen Crowe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tate McLiam firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tate McLiam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donell Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some careless play in the Ballintemple defense, Earnán Glen Crowe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tate McLiam. The Ballintemple fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tate McLiam should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Ballintemple's Barclay Dunne got a free kick in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donell Frankson to strike the kick off in the second half. Barclay Dunne charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barclay Dunne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Clortrane's Earnán Glen Crowe in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballintemple's goalie prevented a goal. Brandon Deery received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Blaine McCready came out and tried to block the shot, but Brandon Deery slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 69th minute. Ballintemple's Bow McPeter got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Keeghan McBrandon fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clortrane's protests and gave Keeghan McBrandon a yellow card for diving instead. Keeghan McBrandon hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Bow McPeter's late challenge caught a Clortrane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bow McPeter helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Ballintemple got a freekick which was hit by Bow McPeter. 93 minutes into the match, Ballintemple's goal looked a bit too open when Donell Frankson came free, but Tate McLiam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tate McLiam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Earnán Glen Crowe in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Clortrane players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
