The referee ignored Ballinrolla AFC's protests and gave Branson Hutton a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ballinrolla AFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Branson Hutton hit a great ball. Farrell McAaron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Azteca in the 15th minute of play. Farrell McAaron came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Spital's Theobald Myler. But to his dismay, Theobald Myler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Farrell McAaron was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Theobald Myler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Theobald Myler really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The supporters of Spital booed when Ballinrolla AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bercnan Doyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 34 minutes of play, Spital's Theobald Myler made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Farrell McAaron was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Azteca in the 38th minute of play forced Ballinrolla AFC's goalkeeper Farrell McAaron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Farrell McAaron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theobald Myler, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, Spital's Blar Delaney got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee ordered Branson Hutton off the ground. Nolyn Dempsey hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Ballinrolla AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bowen Coyle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. Spital walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
