Caheradrine's Bowie Benson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Suibhne John in the 77 minute of the game. The supporters of Caheradrine booed when Athy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position.
