Bailey Myler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Coyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Bil Ryan kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. A hard shot by Tomás McWillie from long distance, 7 minutes into the match, got Bar Martyn's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Bailey Myler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torna Quinnless in the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Inverin's zone, Finnigan Cooney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bar Martyn came out of the goal and Finnigan Cooney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute Quirk Kirby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bar Martyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Donavin McGlynn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bailey Myler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Buncrana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Todd Coyle came free, but Bailey Myler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bailey Myler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torna Quinnless in the 24th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Finnigan Cooney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bar Martyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Torna Quinnless hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th match minute, Buncrana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finnigan Cooney to maneuver through the defense. Bailey Myler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torna Quinnless's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torna Quinnless stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Torna Quinnless hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pawd Rutherford in the 58th minute of play forced Inverin's goalkeeper Bar Martyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Royan McNamara kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Breaghdha Mullan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bar Martyn skillfully saved the ball. Bar Martyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pawd Rutherford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee showed Becan McLian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Buncrana FC got a freekick which was hit by Becan McLian. Todd Coyle struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Bailey Myler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inverin. In the 73rdth minute of the game Finnigan Cooney who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inverin's Bar Martyn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Inverin's Bar Martyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patraic Deery in the 75th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Buncrana FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 93 minutes, Inverin's Donavin McGlynn got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bailey Myler. The Inverin players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
