Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Balor Mullan took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beamard Martyn in the 4th minute of play forced Athy's goalkeeper Brenden Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brenden Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conor Crowe went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Brenden Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pearce McBrand in the 12th minute of the match. Brenden Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beamard Martyn in the 14th minute of play. Brenden Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beamard Martyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Baiscend McTom hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A collision led to Athy getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Baiscend McTom hit a great ball. Conor Crowe took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brenden Barrett. Brenden Barrett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Pearce McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Brenden Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cogran AFC's Conor Crowe in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Athy's goalie prevented a goal. The Cogran AFC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Cogran AFC's Conor Crowe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Brenden Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pearce McBrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Beamard Martyn sped through Athy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Brenden Barrett. A collision led to Athy getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Kerrigan McLian hit a great ball. After the first half Cogran AFC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beamard Martyn to strike the kick off in the second half. Athy's Brenden Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beamard Martyn in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Beamard Martyn dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brenden Barrett, 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beamard Martyn in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brenden Barrett saved Athy from getting behind. Brenden Barrett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartel McFrancise in the 66th minute. Bartel McFrancise scored 0-8 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brenden Barrett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Bartel McFrancise had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brenden Barrett. Athy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bartel McFrancise was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. 77 minutes into the match, Athy's goalkeeper Brenden Barrett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartel McFrancise. A collision led to Cogran AFC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Beairtle Barrett hit a great ball. Blathmac Bayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baiscend McTom, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Beamard Martyns short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Brenden Barrett to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 90th play minute Beamard Martyn came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Brenden Barrett. 0-11. Cogran AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
