With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Motta in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brigid Rutherford saved St. James Gate F.C. from getting behind. When Barhart Costello fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored St. James Gate F.C.'s protests and gave Barhart Costello a yellow card for diving instead. 83 minutes into the game, one of St. James Gate F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
