A beautiful save bye King Foot's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 6 minutes, Joe Street managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Gay Village's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joe Street was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eddy Whittingham scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Godsall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to King Foot getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ronan Busby hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes, The Gay Village's Kristopher Harkin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sebastian Godsall came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Gay Village reached it. 16 minutes into the game, The Gay Village's Eddy Whittingham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Godsall made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Eddy Whittingham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Eddy Whittingham notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of King Foot's Sebastian Godsall. Sebastian Godsall was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of King Foot booed when The Gay Village was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donald Kerr didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31stth minute of the game Eddy Whittingham who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but King Foot's Sebastian Godsall was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastian Godsall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Whittingham in the 34th minute of play. Sebastian Godsall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Street, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, The Gay Village's Blair Fairbank got control of the ball when Jon Mallon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zaq Truscott during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute there was a penalty for The Gay Village. Brendon Couch stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sebastian Godsall. 0-4. The King Foot players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The Gay Village were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eddy Whittingham was the one to do the kick off. Eddy Whittingham had several of the King Foot's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 62 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Sebastian Godsall as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 65th minute Eddy Whittingham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Godsall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Gay Village's Eddy Whittingham got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Eddy Whittingham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Joe Street got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Donald Kerr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jasper Marsden's late challenge caught a The Gay Village's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jasper Marsden helped the player get up and apologised. Jasper Marsden hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Blair Fairbank took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Mallon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Godsall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Whittingham in the 83rd minute of play. The Gay Village's Eddy Whittingham got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jon Mallon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joe Street received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Sebastian Godsall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joe Streets short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Sebastian Godsall to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sebastian Godsall made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Joe Street sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded The Gay Village left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than King Foot.
