In the 17th minute Damion Holbrook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Kempson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rupert Corby came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Biggleswade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rupert Corby couldn't finish the play. After 21 played minutes Husbands Bosworth City got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Forrest. A collision led to Biggleswade getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Trevor Clegg hit a great ball. If Ashley Hutchinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Damion Holbrook reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ruben Kempson. The goal made the score 1-1. The supporters of Biggleswade booed when Husbands Bosworth City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnathon Hotte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rupert Corby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gary Winfield having to interfere. Husbands Bosworth City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
