Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Denis Senior got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 10 minutes, Charles Haskell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. POZNAŃSKI KOLEJORZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Haskell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the game, POZNAŃSKI KOLEJORZ's Eddie Wiley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luke Lane made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th minute, Simon Gray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Tristram Swallow managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rainhill's supporters rose to their feet, but Tristram Swallow was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Carlisle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alan Reading received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ben Carlisle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan Reading who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Ben Carlisle when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ben Carlisle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Reading in the 30th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in POZNAŃSKI KOLEJORZ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Rainhill a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marcus Beadle, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of POZNAŃSKI KOLEJORZ's Ben Carlisle. 1-1. Denis Senior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Lane having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tristram Swallow to make the kick off. When Tristram Swallow came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Rainhill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tristram Swallow couldn't finish the play. Rainhill's Luke Lane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Senior in the 58th minute of play. Eddie Wiley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Lane having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Rainhill's goalkeeper Luke Lane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddie Wiley. Thanks to some nice moves Eddie Wiley could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Luke Lane however easily saved by the left post. Ozzy Brough hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The nice shot from Eddie Wiley in the 75thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Luke Lane had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Ben Carlisle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Reading in the 78th minute of play. Rainhill's Luke Lane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Rainhill from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Denis Senior kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luke Lane. That made the score 1-2 in the 93 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. POZNAŃSKI KOLEJORZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
