Joey Buckle kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Liphook AFC's Ethan Fenton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andre Biernat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Vinnie Wells fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Biernat having to interfere. Tony Rockett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verne Willets having to interfere. Ethan Fenton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Andre Biernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Jonathon Reeve managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liphook AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathon Reeve was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andre Biernat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Rockett in the 29th minute of play forced Liphook AFC's goalkeeper Verne Willets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darryl Marsden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Verne Willets tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liphook AFC's Verne Willets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Rockett in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to Liphook AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Devon Topham hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Malmesbury AFC's Tony Rockett ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Verne Willets. Verne Willets yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Liphook AFC's zone, Darryl Marsden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Verne Willets came out of the goal and Darryl Marsden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Tony Rockett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 56th match minute, Liphook AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ty Hanley to maneuver through the defense. Tony Rockett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 60 minutes into the match, Liphook AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Rockett came free, but Verne Willets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Rockett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verne Willets having to interfere. Andre Biernat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathon Reeve, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Malmesbury AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ethan Fenton came free, but Andre Biernat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Liphook AFC's Devon Topham got a free kick in the 70th minute. Verne Willets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darryl Marsden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathon Reeve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Andre Biernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darryl Marsden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verne Willets having to interfere. Verne Willets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Marsden, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Tony Rockett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Verne Willets came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Malmesbury AFC's Tony Rockett. But to his dismay, Tony Rockett quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Tony Rockett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Malmesbury AFC's Darryl Marsden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Verne Willets narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Darryl Marsden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Verne Willets was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 91st minute Ethan Fenton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Biernat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Rockett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes Liphook AFC got a freekick which was hit by Vinnie Wells. After 98 minutes Liphook AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andre Venables who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Malmesbury AFC's corner Andre Venables fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Verne Willets quite easily take care of the ball. Malmesbury AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Liphook AFC for a fine match.
