The referee showed Dale Laurie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 2 played minutes Streetwise Fc got a freekick which was hit by Dale Laurie. After a rather tough play, Whitwell's Teddy Billington got a free kick in the 9th minute. After some careless play in the Whitwell defense, Syd Birch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Verne Abbotts. The Whitwell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Verne Abbotts should have stopped the shot. In the 15th match minute, Streetwise Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dale Laurie to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Kurt Purkiss sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Streetwise Fc's Clive Batty didn't even have to move. When Donald Hewitt came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Streetwise Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donald Hewitt couldn't finish the play. Donald Hewitt took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Verne Abbotts. Verne Abbotts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Syd Birch put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Verne Abbotts. Syd Birch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Verne Abbotts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Whitwell getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jon Croft hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donald Hewitt to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Whitwell's goal looked a bit too open when Donald Hewitt came free, but Verne Abbotts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Donald Hewitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Syd Birch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Verne Abbotts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Streetwise Fc fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Streetwise Fc's Donald Hewitt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 70th minute, Vinnie West got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Francis Sykes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitwell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francis Sykes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dale Laurie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verne Abbotts having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Streetwise Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Vinnie West came free, but Clive Batty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, Whitwell's Vinnie West made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clive Batty was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute Syd Birch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Verne Abbotts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes, Jon Croft mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Whitwell and the Streetwise Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jon Croft hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Syd Birch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Streetwise Fc had played much better football throughout.
