Spectators: 5900 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 900, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sly Nethercot kicked off to start the match. Conisbrough's Teddy Chalmers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Conisbrough from getting a goal against them. When Conisbrough's Stew Hitchen in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thirsk FC's goalie prevented a goal. Sly Nethercot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Denny Scrivener tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Sly Nethercot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 12 minutes, Stan Hawke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thirsk FC and the Conisbrough players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Stan Hawke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Conisbrough's goal looked a bit too open when William Blackhurst came free, but Teddy Chalmers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When William Blackhurst came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Thirsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Blackhurst couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Kris Locke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Winterbine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Thirsk FC's Owen Reddington got a free kick in the 26th minute. Jerome Lewington kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. William Blackhurst blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teddy Chalmers having to make a save.

After a defensive mix-up in Conisbrough's zone, Simon Winterbine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teddy Chalmers came out of the goal and Simon Winterbine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute, Denis Meadowcroft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teddy Chalmers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Blackhurst, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When Simon Winterbine came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Thirsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Winterbine couldn't finish the play. Teddy Chalmers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Blackhurst in the 62nd minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Conisbrough's Stew Hitchen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denny Scrivener narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stew Hitchen got free with Denny Scrivener in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute, William Blackhurst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 played minutes Conisbrough got a freekick which was hit by Louis Reeves. Teddy Chalmers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Blackhurst in the 81st minute of the match. Stew Hitchen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Denny Scrivener when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
