Pat Ashton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnnie Rawson in the 30th minute of the match. Johnnie Rawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Ashton having to interfere. Dean Clare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Byrom in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of North Baddesley City booed when Wanstead FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Harrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 minutes Wanstead FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damien Newell who took care of the corner kick. Kristopher Cousins thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Dean Clare, a very annoying self made goal in the 39th minute which led to 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steven Byrom made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Colin Krief managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wanstead FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Colin Krief was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pat Ashton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Colin Krief's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Sean Branch managed to get in a good position for a shot. North Baddesley City's supporters rose to their feet, but Sean Branch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Clare breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benjamin Harrison charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Harrison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Wanstead FC's Benjamin Harrison got a free kick in the 60th minute. Johnnie Rawson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Pat Ashton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wanstead FC. Pat Ashton didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Wanstead FC's Johnnie Rawson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Dean Clare came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by North Baddesley City's Steven Byrom. But to his dismay, Steven Byrom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The North Baddesley City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
