After some careless play in the Heckmondwike AFC defense, Colin Featherstone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Russ Ruddock. The Heckmondwike AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Russ Ruddock should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the match, Heckmondwike AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Colin Featherstone came free, but Russ Ruddock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, OZS GUZIKOWKA KROSNO's Seth Morcom got a free kick in the 13th minute. Roger Woodward was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. Russ Ruddock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Portway, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute John Paul Foster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierce Bettney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Russ Ruddock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Portway in the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pierce Bettney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Paul Foster in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Morris in the 81st minute of play forced OZS GUZIKOWKA KROSNO's goalkeeper Pierce Bettney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded OZS GUZIKOWKA KROSNO left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Heckmondwike AFC.
