Samuel Pointon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Danny Noble skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ralf Oldham kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The corner ended in Bobby Seward almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Codnor's Danny Noble did a great save. Danny Noble made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Pointon in the 9th minute of play. Danny Noble stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lennie Hartshorn's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. A collision led to Codnor getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Freddy Izzard hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Codnor's goalkeeper Danny Noble had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Pointon. With a little luck, Codnor's Danny Noble got control of the ball when Lennie Hartshorn tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Samuel Pointon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Frankie Husband had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 27 minutes, Bobby Seward managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magliari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bobby Seward was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Magliari's Lennie Hartshorn in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Codnor's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Codnor's zone, Andre Monkman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Noble came out of the goal and Andre Monkman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, Lennie Hartshorn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danny Noble. Codnor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lennie Hartshorn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Lennie Hartshorn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 37 in the game by Samuel Pointon from a close distance when the talented Danny Noble managed to make a qualified save. Codnor's players were relieved. 39 minutes into the match, Samuel Pointon notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Codnor's Danny Noble. Danny Noble was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bobby Seward fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Noble having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bobby Seward got free with Danny Noble in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Codnor getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ralf Oldham hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the match, Codnor's goalkeeper Danny Noble had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Pointon.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lennie Hartshorn was the one to do the kick off. Samuel Pointon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Danny Noble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Codnor's Danny Noble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobby Seward in the 53rd minute of play. Rod Hamer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lennie Hartshorn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Danny Noble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Magliari's Andre Monkman in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Codnor's goalie prevented a goal. Codnor's Danny Noble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Pointon in the 61st minute of play. Freddy Izzard took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vern Hallam. Vern Hallam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Rod Hamer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Samuel Pointon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danny Noble was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Al Thomas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magliari's supporters rose to their feet, but Al Thomas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danny Noble breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 76 minutes of play, Magliari's Samuel Pointon made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danny Noble was left in no man's land by his defense there! 79 minutes into the match, Magliari's Bobby Seward sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danny Noble narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Codnor's Danny Noble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rod Hamer in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Freddy Izzard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Codnor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Magliari the free kick. After a rather tough play, Codnor's Freddy Izzard got a free kick in the 81st minute. Andre Monkman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andre Monkman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Noble having to interfere. Lennie Hartshorn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 89 minutes, Samuel Pointon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Magliari and the Codnor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes Magliari got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Pointon. Orson Topham struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Vern Hallam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Codnor. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Lennie Hartshorn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magliari's supporters rose to their feet, but Lennie Hartshorn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danny Noble breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Magliari walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
