Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Louis Sharpe kicked off to start the match. Martyn Fowler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Louis Sharpe went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 12 played minutes Axbridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joey Spurgeon. Darryl Parks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Street having to interfere. When Dom Dodd came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Kingsbridge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dom Dodd couldn't finish the play. Axbridge AFC's Joshua Marsden got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Dom Dodd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Kingsbridge getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Byron Jenkinson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kingsbridge's zone, Louis Sharpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martyn Fowler came out of the goal and Louis Sharpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dom Dodd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Perry Street tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kingsbridge's Quentin Bateman got a free kick in the 46th minute. Louis Sharpe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martyn Fowler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darryl Parks was the one to do the kick off. Martyn Fowler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Sharpe in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 played minutes Axbridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Louis Sharpe. Perry Street took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darryl Parks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kingsbridge's Darryl Parks got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eddy Yeo, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Dom Dodd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Louis Sharpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kingsbridge's Martyn Fowler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Kingsbridge from getting a goal against them. Martyn Fowler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joshua Marsden in the 87th minute. The Axbridge AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
