The supporters of Congresbury booed when London Colney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Bennett didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vic Haper during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes London Colney got a freekick which was hit by Vic Haper. 31 minutes into the match, London Colney's goalkeeper Jermaine Whitford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Garlick. Roger McRobbie hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Stuart Horsell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. London Colney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stuart Horsell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half London Colney were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when John Paul Styles made the kick off in the second half. Quentin Purvis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes in the game, John Paul Styles fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Josh Cheetham having to interfere. Pedro Garlick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Garlick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, London Colney's goal looked a bit too open when Quentin Purvis came free, but Jermaine Whitford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jermaine Whitford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quentin Purvis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to London Colney getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Mark Mayo hit a great ball.
