In the 3rd minute, Junior Ellis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Callum Bradfield managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Alsager's Junior Ellis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. David Friend made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Junior Piercy in the 8th minute of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Liam Chalk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Locksheath United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liam Chalk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute, Junior Ellis made a precise shot to the right of Callum Bradfield. Locksheath United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Callum Bradfield made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Junior Ellis sent off a good shot on target. Junior Ellis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Callum Bradfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malcolm Hanley kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Junior Ellis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 38 minutes, Marek Clemence managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Locksheath United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marek Clemence was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marek Clemence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Friend having to interfere.

The wind increased when Liam Chalk made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Kyle Crooks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Locksheath United and the Alsager players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kyle Crooks hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Callum Bradfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Dobson in the 53rd minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Locksheath United's Marek Clemence sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Friend narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Liam Chalk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Friend having to interfere. When Kristopher Ross fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alsager's protests and gave Kristopher Ross a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Alsager getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Kristopher Ross hit a great ball. If Marek Clemence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 minutes, Junior Ellis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alsager and the Locksheath United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Alsager was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Junior Ellis to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Junior Ellis notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Locksheath United's Callum Bradfield. Callum Bradfield was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Liam Chalk fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ritchie Robertson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marek Clemence took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Friend. David Friend dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Locksheath United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
