In the 11th minute Tim Hudson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shaun Blain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Hudson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Shaun Blain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Louis Biernat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaun Blain having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Louis Biernat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paignton's supporters rose to their feet, but Louis Biernat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shaun Blain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Swingers's goalkeeper Shaun Blain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 28 minutes, Louis Biernat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paignton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Louis Biernat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Shaun Blain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louis Biernat, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Louis Biernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Tim Hudson made a precise shot to the right of Shaun Blain. Swingers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Charlie Armitstead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ian Bass tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Paignton's Ian Bass got control of the ball when Charlie Armitstead tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Perry Archer was the one to do the kick off. After 72 minutes, David Deacon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paignton and the Swingers players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Charlie Armitstead had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perry Archer struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Ian Bass didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swingers. In the 79th match minute, Paignton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Summerfield to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Paignton's Tim Hudson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shaun Blain narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Shaun Blain acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alistair Sewell. David Deacon kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Ian Bass came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Swingers's Perry Archer. But to his dismay, Perry Archer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Shaun Blain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Biernat in the 96th minute of play. Karl Sunderland kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Shaun Blain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louis Biernat, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Swingers were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Paignton for a fine match.
