Ross Slabber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Craven, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 19th minute, Bruce Broadhurst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Onidek's Duncan Saunders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greg Edmunds in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, Onidek's Duncan Saunders got control of the ball when Bruce Broadhurst tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Bruce Broadhurst came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Bedford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Broadhurst couldn't finish the play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Greg Edmunds made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Onidek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Warburton to maneuver through the defense. Duncan Saunders didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Greg Edmunds went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Joe Craven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But to his dismay, Greg Edmunds quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Joe Craven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ross Slabber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ross Slabber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Craven in the 74th minute of play. Jack Warburton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ross Slabber. Bedford's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Greg Edmunds sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerry Furlong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruce Broadhurst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Duncan Saunders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bedford had won after a very even match.
