Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Don Silk started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Denny Briggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Shilton having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, Grays City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antony Osmond to maneuver through the defense. Amberley United's Oscar White couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Grays City. Amberley United's Stan Titmuss got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Don Silk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Frankie Lagdon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stan Titmuss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Frankie Lagdon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denny Briggs in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Will Shilton saved Amberley United from getting behind. In the 32nd minute, Don Silk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stan Titmuss blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frankie Lagdon having to make a save. After 45 played minutes Amberley United got a freekick which was hit by Dom Cobb. Will Shilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denny Briggs in the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denny Briggs to make the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Amberley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Forrest to maneuver through the defense. Stan Titmuss could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Frankie Lagdon made a huge save. When Oscar White fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amberley United's protests and gave Oscar White a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Amberley United's Oscar White got a free kick in the 64th minute. Jo Jefferson didn't quite understand what happened when in the 66 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Amberley United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Grays City:s goal. The audience was convinced that Don Silk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frankie Lagdon was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Stan Titmuss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Lagdon having to interfere. Brendon Walls recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Denny Briggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amberley United's Oscar White got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Oscar White off the ground. Oscar White kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. When Grays City's Brendon Walls in 98 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Will Shilton guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Amberley United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Grays City.
