Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Keiran Kerfoot took the kick off in the first half of the match. Knaresborough's Ashley Clarke got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arif Buğra Şavat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keiran Kerfoot in the 9th minute of play. Casey Argent kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Keith Smikle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knaresborough fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ashley Clarke struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Damian Whittington didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knaresborough. When Ashley Clarke came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Knaresborough fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ashley Clarke couldn't finish the play. If Keiran Kerfoot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the game, Ashley Clarke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Damian Whittington was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frankie Newby's late challenge caught a Knaresborough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frankie Newby helped the player get up and apologised. 32 minutes into the game, one of Studley United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Rio Roche shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When Todd McBreen came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Knaresborough fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Todd McBreen couldn't finish the play. Ashley Clarke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Todd McBreen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Damian Whittington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Knaresborough were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ashley Clarke was the one to do the kick off. Stewart Platt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Arif Buğra Şavat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Keith Smikle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knaresborough's supporters rose to their feet, but Keith Smikle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Whittington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Knaresborough's Ashley Clarke got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Keith Smikle got free with Damian Whittington in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ashley Clarke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Whittington having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Studley United's goalkeeper Damian Whittington had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Keith Smikle. When Rio Roche fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Knaresborough's protests and gave Rio Roche a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Knaresborough getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Rio Roche hit a great ball. Damian Whittington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ashley Clarke in the 68th minute of play. If Keith Smikle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Studley United's Stewart Platt got a free kick in the 71st minute. Ashley Clarke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Damian Whittington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Vincent Findley in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Knaresborough's Todd McBreen. When Knaresborough's Ashley Clarke in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Studley United's goalie prevented a goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Studley United's goalkeeper Damian Whittington, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damian Whittington came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Knaresborough's Ashley Clarke. But to his dismay, Ashley Clarke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Keith Smikle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Damian Whittington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keith Smikle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Knaresborough could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Studley United throughout the match.
