Donald Parkinson kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Natasha s Red Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Gavin Munday came free, but Grant Battersby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Natasha s Red Devils's zone, Gavin Munday stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grant Battersby came out of the goal and Gavin Munday tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grant Battersby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donald Parkinson in the 65th minute of play. Natasha s Red Devils's Walter Earnshaw was substituted for Louie Dobson. Natasha s Red Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barney Ellis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barney Ellis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walter Earnshaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Thompson having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cнєłsєα Fσσтвαłł Cłυв players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
