Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Gary Knight fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayden Markham having to interfere. After having played for 5 minutes, Perry Key managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wickersley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perry Key was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rowan Whitford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tyrone Slater's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Tyrone Slater took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rowan Whitford. Rowan Whitford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 17 minutes, Dominic Knight managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rushden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominic Knight was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Tyrone Slater put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rowan Whitford. If Garry Washington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominic Knight struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Rowan Whitford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rushden. After 35th play minutes Tyrone Slater shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Rowan Whitford and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Tyrone Slater managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rushden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyrone Slater was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 44 played minutes Wickersley got a freekick which was hit by Tristan Watson. Rowan Whitford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Woolford, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The Rushden fans' excitement grew in the 49th match minute when Rushden's Tyrone Slater looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the match, Alfred Woolford notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Wickersley's Rowan Whitford. Rowan Whitford was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tyrone Slater's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Rowan Whitford skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tyrone Slater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes in the game, Tyrone Slater fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rowan Whitford having to interfere. In the 70th minute of the match Marty Coe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rowan Whitford skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Tyrone Slater managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rushden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyrone Slater was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rushden's Hayden Markham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perry Key in the 75th minute of play. Tyrone Slater's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rowan Whitford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Tyrone Slater did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Rowan Whitford 79 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, George Gamble made a precise shot to the right of Hayden Markham. Rushden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. In the 88th minute, Sly Basterfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wickersley's Conal Newton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rushden. 92 minutes into the match, Rushden's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Corbridge came free, but Hayden Markham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Wickersley's zone, Tyrone Slater stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rowan Whitford came out of the goal and Tyrone Slater tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hayden Markham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Perry Key's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. After a rather tough play, Rushden's Sly Basterfield got a free kick in the 96th minute. A collision led to Rushden getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Sly Basterfield hit a great ball. Hayden Markham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Key in the 100th minute of the match. The Wickersley fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rushden were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
