Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Ollie Crtichell started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th match minute, Sutton in Ashfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnnie Browne to maneuver through the defense. Lance Wooding recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 12 minutes, Garth Gardener mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sutton in Ashfield and the Liscard players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Garth Gardener hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carl Moxon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Crtichell in the 13th minute of play. Timothy Renwick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geoff Barton having to interfere. Geoff Barton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timothy Renwick went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Geoff Barton came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Sutton in Ashfield's Matt Henderson. But to his dismay, Matt Henderson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 31 minutes into the match, Liscard's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Henderson came free, but Geoff Barton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Liscard's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Henderson came free, but Geoff Barton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes in the game, Timothy Renwick dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Liscard's Geoff Barton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timothy Renwick in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matt Henderson to strike the kick off in the second half. Timothy Renwick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geoff Barton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute, Timothy Renwick reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Geoff Barton. The goal made the score 0-3. Matt Henderson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geoff Barton having to interfere. Timothy Renwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes Liscard got a freekick which was hit by Andre Dennison. After 64 played minutes Sutton in Ashfield got a freekick which was hit by Johnnie Browne. If Matt Henderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Timothy Renwick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carl Moxon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ollie Crtichell, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Ollie Crtichell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Carl Moxon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matt Henderson struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Geoff Barton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sutton in Ashfield. When Jamal Jennings fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liscard's protests and gave Jamal Jennings a yellow card for diving instead. Jamal Jennings kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Geoff Barton made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Timothy Renwick sent off a good shot on target. Sutton in Ashfield's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
