Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Felixstowe City's Alex Castledine started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Felixstowe City got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Rathmell. 8 minutes into the match, Jonathon Pallister had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stuart Hedges. Felixstowe City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathon Pallister was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, Felixstowe City's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathon Pallister came free, but Stuart Hedges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 minutes of play, GATESHEAD FC's Jonathon Pallister made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stuart Hedges was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute, Jonathon Pallister ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stuart Hedges was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Stuart Hedges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Warren Plant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Warren Plant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stuart Hedges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richard Garforth during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of GATESHEAD FC booed when Felixstowe City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Garforth didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31stth minute of the game Jonathon Pallister who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Felixstowe City's Stuart Hedges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stuart Hedges came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by GATESHEAD FC's Warren Plant. But to his dismay, Warren Plant quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 38th minute, Warren Plant left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GATESHEAD FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. GATESHEAD FC's Warren Plant got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stuart Hedges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Warren Plant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Castledine in the 47th minute of play forced GATESHEAD FC's goalkeeper Radoslaw Czermak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

GATESHEAD FC's Warren Plant was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 56th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Richard Garforth kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Stuart Hedges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Warren Plant's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Cody Young kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Jerome Foreman took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Radoslaw Czermak. Radoslaw Czermak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. In the 77th minute, Jonathon Pallister got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joey Attwood charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joey Attwood the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute, Joey Attwood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Plant in the 79th minute of play forced Felixstowe City's goalkeeper Stuart Hedges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When GATESHEAD FC's Warren Plant in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Felixstowe City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 88thth minute of the game Warren Plant who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Felixstowe City's Stuart Hedges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over GATESHEAD FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Felixstowe City throughout the match.
