An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Moore in the 19th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Marty Hoskins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garry Woodyat helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Garry Woodyat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vernon Woodyat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marty Hoskins having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danny Moore in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marty Hoskins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Danny Moore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute.
