Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bloomsbury FC's Dennis Leeson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Bloomsbury FC from getting a goal against them. After 7 minutes of play, Bloomsbury FC's Tom Kingston made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Grant Burrows was left in no man's land by his defense there! James Pool received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Dennis Leeson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Pool in the 14th minute of play forced Bloomsbury FC's goalkeeper Dennis Leeson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. scotholme's Grant Burrows played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Kingston in the 19th minute of play. Tom Kingston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tod Bamford fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored scotholme's protests and gave Tod Bamford a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Tod Bamford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Cryan was the one to do the kick off. James Pool took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dennis Leeson. Dennis Leeson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Reg Patton's late challenge caught a scotholme's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reg Patton helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bloomsbury FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Reg Patton hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Danny Brownlow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Leeson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Stew Granger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dennis Leeson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bloomsbury FC's zone, James Pool stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Leeson came out of the goal and James Pool tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Junior Wright had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. James Pool fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Leeson having to interfere. When scotholme's James Pool, in the 84th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for scotholme. Bloomsbury FC's Dennis Leeson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Pool in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, James Pool cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Dennis Leeson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the scotholme players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
