Spectators: 6714 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 0) George Stonehouse started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Alastair Newman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holloway's supporters rose to their feet, but Alastair Newman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grant Burrows breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grant Burrows made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Stonehouse in the 5th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers James Pool in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kelvin Granville saved Holloway from getting behind. Kelvin Granville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Pool in the 10th minute of the match. James Pool sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grant Burrows made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alastair Newman in the 15th minute. Gavin Sheene didn't quite understand what happened when in the 18 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 19thth minute of the game James Pool who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holloway's Kelvin Granville was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tod Bamford hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Grant Burrows made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when George Stonehouse sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers James Pool in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kelvin Granville saved Holloway from getting behind. After having played for 37 minutes, Junior Wright managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. scotholme's supporters crossed their fingers, but Junior Wright was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Grant Burrows took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Stonehouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Junior Wright had several of the Holloway's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Kelvin Granville as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Holloway getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. George Stonehouse hit a great ball. Junior Wrights short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Kelvin Granville to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kelvin Granville made an important save on a dangerous shot by Junior Wright in the 86th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alastair Newman in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grant Burrows prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
