The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benji Beckett during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Ninfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benji Beckett to maneuver through the defense. James Pool recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grant Burrows showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shawn Drake, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th match minute, scotholme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tod Bamford to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers James Pool in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cody Houghton saved Ninfield from getting behind. Cody Houghton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of James Pool's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Oscar Leach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grant Burrows tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. scotholme's James Pool got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When James Pool came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the scotholme fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that James Pool couldn't finish the play.

In the 73rd minute, Oscar Leach made a precise shot to the right of Grant Burrows. scotholme's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When James Pool came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the scotholme fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that James Pool couldn't finish the play. James Pool might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cody Houghton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. James Pool ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricky Butterworth hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ninfield's zone, Junior Wright stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cody Houghton came out of the goal and Junior Wright tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. James Pool sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Oscar Leach suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 95 minutes into the game, Stew Granger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. scotholme's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ninfield the free kick. After 96 played minutes scotholme got a freekick which was hit by Stew Granger. Ninfield were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over scotholme's much stronger midfield.
