Stew Booth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Jobling having to interfere. George Sills received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Perry Maylett came out and tried to block the shot, but George Sills slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. In the 18th match minute, Aldershot City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damien Thackray to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 19 minutes, Wally Adamson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paignton Panthers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wally Adamson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29thth minute of the game Kev Floyd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paignton Panthers's Samuel Jobling was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Perry Maylett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wally Adamson in the 31st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Perry Maylett successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 39 minutes into the match, Aldershot City's goalkeeper Perry Maylett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wally Adamson. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Sills to strike the kick off in the second half. Kev Floyd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Sills in the 55th minute of play forced Aldershot City's goalkeeper Perry Maylett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kev Floyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th match minute, Paignton Panthers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terry Gill to maneuver through the defense. Wally Adamson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Samuel Jobling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stew Booth, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Samuel Jobling was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stew Booth showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 83 minute of play. Stew Booth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, James Crossley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Paignton Panthers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Aldershot City's performance. The match ended with a win for Aldershot City.
