Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Norman Mansfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Halliday having to interfere. Norman Mansfield could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Oscar Halliday made a huge save. In the 9th minute Callum Pack shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Halliday saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 10 minutes, Basil Holland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blackburn and the Alderley Edge players grew even worse after the yellow card. Callum Pack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norman Mansfield took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Halliday. Oscar Halliday dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Norman Mansfield blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Halliday having to make a save. Norman Mansfield's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Oscar Halliday skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Scott Brearley kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Callum Pack kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oscar Halliday. That made the score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Blackburn's Oscar Halliday threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Callum Pack, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Callum Pack's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Halliday read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Norman Mansfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Blackburn booed when Alderley Edge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scott Brearley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norman Mansfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Seb Lister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 minutes, Mick Bagshaw mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alderley Edge and the Blackburn players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 played minutes Alderley Edge got a freekick which was hit by Mick Bagshaw. When Callum Pack came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Blackburn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Callum Pack couldn't finish the play. Alec Hunter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nial Foley in the 68th minute of play. When Norman Mansfield came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Blackburn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norman Mansfield couldn't finish the play. John Paul Bullock was slow to take the kick. During this time Blackburn's players had a chance to rest. John Paul Bullock made a great header on Blackburn's corner, it was just that Alderley Edge's Oscar Halliday managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 82nd minute, Callum Pack left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blackburn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nial Foley in the 85th minute of play forced Blackburn's goalkeeper Alec Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Alderley Edge:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Blackburn:s goal. The referee gave Blackburn a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by John Paul Bullock, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alderley Edge's Oscar Halliday. 4-1. Oscar Halliday took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norman Mansfield, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Halliday made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Callum Pack in the 92nd minute of play. If Basil Holland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alderley Edge's Oscar Halliday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Pack in the 97th minute of play.
