The referee ignored East Dulwich City's protests and gave Stuart Afful a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, East Dulwich City's Stuart Afful got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 27 played minutes East Dulwich City got a freekick which was hit by Iain Pullen. Wiktor Ciborek scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Larry Walters, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kenny Graydon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Larry Walters having to make a save. 45 minutes into the game, Wiktor Ciborek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Larry Walters was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damon Clifford stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wiktor Ciboreks short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Larry Walters to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
