When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Crediton's Ricky West got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Adam Warburton. After 13 played minutes Crediton got a freekick which was hit by Ricky West. Carlin How AFC's Liam Bowler got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leigh Furniss could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Adam Warburton made a huge save. Leigh Furniss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Adam Warburton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Crediton got a freekick which was hit by Felix Boyce. Felix Boyce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Crediton's Johnnie Jowsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frankie Townsend in the 35th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Ray Plumber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Adam Warburton managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Crediton's Leigh Furniss fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Crediton's Felix Boyce in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Carlin How AFC's Adam Warburton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Carlin How AFC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frankie Townsend to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Leigh Furniss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carlin How AFC's goalkeeper Adam Warburton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlin How AFC's Frankie Townsend got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Crediton's Ray Plumber got a free kick in the 60th minute. Frankie Townsend sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Boyce in the 66th minute of play forced Carlin How AFC's goalkeeper Adam Warburton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnnie Jowsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frankie Townsend, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the game, Carlin How AFC's Liam Bowler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Johnnie Jowsey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 94 minutes into the match, Felix Boyce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adam Warburton. Carlin How AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Boyce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2.
