Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fred Hirst kicked off to start the match. When Calvin Larham came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Cranbrook fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calvin Larham couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calvin Larham got free with Romeo Dowrick in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romeo Dowrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Hirst in the 11th minute of play. The Belvedere United fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Belvedere United's Ivor Sands looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fred Hirst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Calvin Larham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cranbrook's supporters rose to their feet, but Calvin Larham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Dowrick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Belvedere United's Romeo Dowrick proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Belvedere United from getting a goal against them. Calvin Larham came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Romeo Dowrick could save by the left post. Romeo Dowrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brett Murtagh, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Brett Murtagh dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Romeo Dowrick, 2-1. 35 minutes into the match, Ivor Sands had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tosh Thompson. Cranbrook's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivor Sands was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. When Belvedere United's Lenny Cuss in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivor Sands was the one to do the kick off. Calvin Larham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Dowrick having to interfere. Cranbrook's Tosh Thompson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Cranbrook from getting a goal against them. Lenny Cuss took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tosh Thompson. Tosh Thompson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4.
