Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sly Titmuss was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Noel Pearson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Sly Titmuss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Pearson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Ragnar Abrahamsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stratford Rivers's supporters rose to their feet, but Ragnar Abrahamsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mattias Bayliff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Stratford Rivers's zone, Byron Bassett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sly Titmuss came out of the goal and Byron Bassett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sly Titmuss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graham Cullen, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Mattias Bayliff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Peyo's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Byron Bassett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Sly Titmuss made a huge save. Sly Titmuss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Pearson in the 29th minute of the match. Sly Titmuss was a little too slow when Graham Cullen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. Sly Titmuss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graham Cullen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stratford Rivers's Sly Titmuss proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Stratford Rivers from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Graham Cullen was the one to do the kick off. Mattias Bayliff came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Stratford Rivers's Paulo Peyo. But to his dismay, Paulo Peyo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Sly Titmuss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graham Cullen, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Dale Elvins hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Stratford Rivers defense, Byron Bassett kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sly Titmuss. The Stratford Rivers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sly Titmuss should have stopped the shot. Sly Titmuss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Pearson, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the game, Byron Bassett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Sly Titmuss was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Conal Cheetham kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Alan Webster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sly Titmuss came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Greenock F.C's Noel Pearson. But to his dismay, Noel Pearson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. 85 minutes into the match, Stratford Rivers's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre Kendall came free, but Sly Titmuss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Pearson in the 86th minute of play forced Stratford Rivers's goalkeeper Sly Titmuss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Byron Bassett made a precise shot to the right of Sly Titmuss. Stratford Rivers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. Byron Bassett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Greenock F.C had played much better football throughout.
