Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gav Ansell got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute Dale Elvins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nath Dunn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Stratford Rivers got a freekick which was hit by Gary Bilham. If Ragnar Abrahamsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 19 minutes, Donald Burns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stratford Rivers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donald Burns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Philip Froggatt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coalville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stratford Rivers the free kick. The supporters of Stratford Rivers booed when Coalville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Froggatt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ragnar Abrahamsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nath Dunn having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Peyo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Stratford Rivers's goal looked a bit too open when Gav Ansell came free, but Sly Titmuss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Kasey Dines cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sly Titmuss was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Stratford Rivers booed when Coalville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasey Dines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donald Burns struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Nath Dunn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stratford Rivers. Kasey Dines took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sly Titmuss. Sly Titmuss dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Nath Dunn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Burns in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Kasey Dines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stratford Rivers's Sly Titmuss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gav Ansell in the 74th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Coalville got a freekick which was hit by Derek Gilchrist. When Donald Burns came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Stratford Rivers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donald Burns couldn't finish the play. Stratford Rivers made a substitution. Christopher Torpey replaced Carlton Medley. After 93 minutes of play, Stratford Rivers's Ragnar Abrahamsson made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nath Dunn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chants of Coalville echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Stratford Rivers had held the ball for most of the match.
