Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rich Sandell got the match started through his kick off. When Abraham Edworthy came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Exmouth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Edworthy couldn't finish the play. After 6 played minutes Bourne got a freekick which was hit by Rich Sandell. With an all-out effort, Exmouth's Bob Midson threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abraham Edworthy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Calum Blackley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rudolf Wallin having to make a save. Rich Sandell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Exmouth's goalkeeper Rudolf Wallin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bourne's goalkeeper Bob Midson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Abraham Edworthy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bob Midson came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Exmouth's Vince Hammond. But to his dismay, Vince Hammond quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Rich Sandell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bourne's supporters rose to their feet, but Rich Sandell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudolf Wallin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Charles Hudson struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Rudolf Wallin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bourne. Rudolf Wallin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rich Sandell in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Bourne's goalkeeper Bob Midson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vince Hammond. Rudolf Wallin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calum Blackley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Bourne getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Vernon Beckett hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Charles Hudson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolf Wallin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute Rich Sandell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolf Wallin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Hudson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Vince Hammond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Bob Midson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Vince Hammond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Midson having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Davenport during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bourne's Adrian Davenport got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vince Hammond in the 63rd minute of play forced Bourne's goalkeeper Bob Midson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bob Midson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Edworthy, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Abraham Edworthy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Exmouth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Abraham Edworthy sped through Bourne's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bob Midson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calum Blackley got free with Rudolf Wallin in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the match, Exmouth's goal looked a bit too open when Rich Sandell came free, but Rudolf Wallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Vince Hammond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Exmouth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vince Hammond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Exmouth's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
