Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tyler Mortlock started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Ron Harban dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sam Morcom, 1-0. FC Las Puszczykowo's Ron Harban got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Lancaster got a freekick which was hit by Reg Frizzell. In the 22nd minute, Kirk Burnham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Lancaster's Tyler Mortlock nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sid Wardill made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kirk Burnham got free with Sam Morcom in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ron Harban recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Las Puszczykowo's goalkeeper Sid Wardill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kirk Burnham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Sam Morcom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Billie Chivers kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When Tyler Mortlock came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Lancaster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyler Mortlock couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Ron Harban dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sam Morcom, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Ron Harban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Sam Morcom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kirk Burnham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bruce Oliver's late challenge caught a FC Las Puszczykowo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruce Oliver helped the player get up and apologised. FC Las Puszczykowo's Virgílio Rocha was substituted for Ron Harban. In the 56th match minute, Lancaster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruce Oliver to maneuver through the defense. If Iain Hickson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sid Wardill made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iain Hickson in the 62nd minute. In the 64th match minute, Lancaster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reg Frizzell to maneuver through the defense. Kirk Burnham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Morcom having to interfere. Kirk Burnham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stew Sanderson struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Sam Morcom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Las Puszczykowo. Kirk Burnham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lancaster's Sam Morcom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Rocha in the 84th minute of play. When Kirk Burnham came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FC Las Puszczykowo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kirk Burnham couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Ivor Timmins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Lancaster booed when FC Las Puszczykowo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Sherwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lancaster's Sam Morcom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirk Burnham in the 92nd minute of play. FC Las Puszczykowo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
